The purpose of a high performance pedigree match is to produce the best possible offspring a particular mare is capable of producing for a given Stud Fee. All matches are done with genetic compatibility and the desired stamina in mind.
Proper genetic matching can save thousands of dollars in Stud Fees - and greatly increase the returns of the resulting offspring.
After studying under the guidance of JACK GREATHEAD (Thoroughbred genetics guru to our greatest trainers and breeders) from 1986 for several years, it became apparent that compatibility between Sire and Dam are much more important than fashion - if well performed progeny are the cornerstone of the whole equation to breed successfully. FEDERICO TESIO - the all time World Champion breeder of Thoroughbreds proved this beyond any doubt.
